Opposing Force I’d say isn’t as long as Half Life, but is decently long in and of itself. Blue Shift is probably the shortest Half Life game (debatable between it and Half Life 2: Episode 1), which is the weakest part of it imo. But I still reccomend it as it is a very enjoyable Half Lufe experiance. The way Precursor was going to avoid that fate was by not making it more than just a roughly hour-long Half Life 2-based single-player adventure with very little new content besides the maps. You’d still be shooting the same guys, still be wielding the same weapons and you’d still look at the same textures and wonder if it’s 2011 or not.Unreal - Half-Life - Sin was the 1998 killer FPS lineup (kinda like Doom 3 - Far Cry - Half-Life 2 in 2004). Tbh, I think part of the success of Half-Life was its modest requirements, it could run extremely well even in software mode on so-so PCs. Unreal was more demanding in software.
As it’s been 10 years since the release of Episode 2 with virtually nothing from Valve to confirm its status, it’s difficult to say how much of Half-Life 3 exists. We know that concept art exists from their leak in 2008, but the best of our knowledge on Half-Life 3 ’s development comes from an exposé done in 2015.
Half Life 2 takes place 20 years after Half Life, which takes place around 2009- 2012. Portal takes place ten years after GLaD0S kills everyone in Aperture with Neurotoxin, except Doug Rattmann and Chell, who Rattman saves (See Portal 2 Comic: Lab Rat. Portal takes place around 2009-2012 also.)In theory, Portal 2 ends anywhere between HL and
